Country Mouse in the Big City

I'd just like to say thank goodness this week is coming to a closure! This week has been quite overwhelming to say the least. You see it all starts with the fact that my grandfather is already in the hospital, and heartbreakingly isn't doing so well, which has been plaguing my mind already. Sunday my grandmother came down and has been staying with us for her surgery that happened on Wednesday. Unfortunately her surgery couldn't fix the problem and she will instead have to face a ton of painful physical therapy. But for her stay I have been designated "grandma-sitter" which entailed much more energy than I originally thought! She has ten times the energy as me and keeps me going til sundown, which is a loooooong day when I've been waking up at four in the morning to open the coffee shop for the past three days, and she had revoked my privilege of taking a power nap. Then the night of her surgery we get a call that after leaving the hospital visiting my grandma, my aunt was in car accident that broke both axels on her truck and finds herself in the hospital now. She is doing fine and has a sense of humor about the whole thing, just saying that she's finding more and more bruises in places she didn't think was possible. I guess the old saying is true that they come in threes. But thankfully it's my day off today and my mother got to leave early as well! So she took my grandma out and about, allowing me to relax in true Ashleigh style which involved doing the mountains of laundry that have been consuming my bathroom and enjoying an all day Disney channel marathon for the kid inside me that everyone is well aware of. haha Well on that note I'm off for some dinner and headed to see Transformers again tonight. Did I mention I'm a closet nerd as well? :]

PS One humorous highlight I forgot to mention was everyone at Saxbys hiring a singing and dancing banana telegram for one of my coworkers! hilarious! I'll put some pics up once I load them. :]
